Comparison of Health-care Waste Management in Urban and Rural Areas in Iran: Application of Multi-criteria Decision Making Method

Background: The global population has grown and is still growing. This growth happening in more cities than rural areas, given the continual search for economic opportunities. implication of this healthcare centers to meet growing demand. Accordingly, waste production posed a big challenge health disposal management. Objectives: study aimed prioritize select best method management sector with multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approaches. Methods: present cross-sectional was carried out managing wastes through MCDM approaches Qazvin. sample selected assigned two groups 28 experts (five categories) who evaluated criteria group 22 individuals (four rank methods waste. First, six 12 designing questionnaire were identified. After questionnaire, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) used calculate weights criteria. Then, TOPSIS different methods.
